Jake is 4 months old now (13 lbs 5 oz) and brightening our lives each and every day. We truly don't know what we ever did without him. We fall in love with him all over again every day.

Jake has had a very busy couple of weeks. He made his first trip to Maryland to visit Grandma and Grandpa, stayed in a hotel for the first time, ate cereal for the first time, started daycare and now has his first cold.

Jake is in daycare Tuesday through Thursday and leaving him that first day was heartbreaking! Lots of tears on that first day and most of them were from his Mama :) He had a rough start... refused to both eat and nap the first week. Thankfully this week was much better except that he picked up a nasty cold from one of his new little friends.

More posts to come soon. We just got home from a trip to Maryland and Jake will be 4 months old tomorrow.

We can hardly believe that Jake is already 3 months old. He's really growing and we can see more of his little personality coming out each day. He thinks that the ceiling fans in our house are hilarious and giggles at them on a daily basis. He's approximately 12 lbs. now and has had his first haircut. He is the light of our lives and we couldn't be happier to be sharing our life with him.

Trip has been traveling a lot on business over the past month and I've been very busy with my work as well so we haven't been very good about e-mailing new pictures to everyone. We have decided to follow the lead of our friends Amy and Luke and start posting to a blog instead of trying to e-mail everyone. Hopefully, it will be easier for us to post an update and some new pictures here more frequently.

Hard to believe but Jake is already two months old.  At his pediatricians appointment last week he was measured at 22 inches and 9 lbs 12 oz!!!!  He’s growing like a weed and Mama & Daddy are thrilled.  We’ve had our first smiles and he’s trying to learn to laugh (he makes the faces but no sounds come out yet) and working hard to find his thumb.  Sharing a few new pictures below...

Meeting Grandma & Grandpa

Jake is doing great!  His face is starting to fill out now.  We will go back to the pediatrician for our 1 month appointment on Friday and get an official weight then but we’re certain he’s back above his original delivery weight now… we’re thinking about 6 lbs now.  Few pix below.  More updates to come.
